Todd Rundgren’s groundbreaking 1985 debut for Warner Records returns to vinyl for the first time since its original release. Rundgren employed overdubbing techniques and an E-mu Emulator (an early sampler), electronically manipulating the sound of his voice to mimic conventional rock instruments, handclaps, and other sounds. Entirely vocal-driven, it stands as one of his most unique works. This reissue marks a pivotal moment in Rundgren’s career before his solo hiatus. The album is mastered for vinyl from the original analog stereo tapes by Joe Nino-Hernes at Sterling Mastering.
